Protection - Forcibly Displaced Women and Girls
The Working Group for the Conclusion on Women and Girls at Risk was formed in late 2007 following the 2007 Annual Consultations with NGOs and Executive Committee in Geneva to progress implementation of the 2006 Conclusion:
UNHCR Executive Committee adopted the Conclusion on the Protection of Women and Girls at Risk on 6 October 2006 (Executive Committee 56th session contained in United Nations General Assembly document A/AC.96/1035).
This website has been established to facilitate the Vision of the Working Group.

Vision
The aim of the Project is to effectively monitor, promote and support the implementation of the Conclusion on the Protection of Women and Girls at Risk (CWGR).
At the completion, the Project will support delivery of the following:
- To advocate and lobby governments, donors and NGOs with a Protection Mandate.
- Influence domestic policy and law leading to more effective practice.
- Measure implementation of strategies against the CWGR.
- Measure implementation against the Working Group objectives.
- Deliver centralised access to electronic resources to assist stakeholders implement the CWGR
- Annual update at Annual Consultations with NGO's and related meetings on the progress of the implementation of the CWGR.
- Assist in altering staff attitudes across stakeholder organisations
